The Squad's Final Challenge P2

As Kyle watches as the bright sun rose over the coast, Robin, the leader of the Teen Titans, comes by his side.  

Robin: Hey Kyle.  I see you like watching the sunrise as well.

Kyle: Oh, thanks.  I was planning something for me and my fellow squad members.

Robin: You've been a titan for a long time old friend, and you've really proven yourself to be a powerful fighter.  But I still can't wait to see what you're planning.

Kyle: Thanks Robin.

One hour later, Kyle is seen walking through the hallways with suitcases.  The other titans see this and are wondering what is happening.  

Kyle: Hi guys.  

Cyborg: Mind telling us what's up with the bags?

Beast Boy: Don't tell me you're leaving us.

Kyle: Actually I'm packing for a possible vacation with my fellow squad members.

Starfire: You are leaving us?  But you are one of our greatest friends and we require your companionship.

Raven: Starfire, relax.  It's probably a temporary vacation.

Kyle: It is a temporary vacation.

Robin: Kyle told me that this morning.  He hasn't seen his squad members in a while.  It's like a get-together.

Kyle: Exactly!  It's gonna be interesting for you to meet my team.

Suddenly the titan alarm goes off.  Robin goes to check it and realizes that there's a monster rampaging through town.

Robin: This reunion will have to be put on hold for now.  We've got trouble.  TITANS GO!

Kyle takes off with his friends, unaware that he's being watched by a robotic spider with a secret camera.  This camera gave information to the secret base of Kyle's worst enemy; Sam the robber.  She was a mean, obnoxious and vicious teenager, everything that Kyle did not like.

Sam: So, Kyle is planning a vacation.  That will be when I strike.  PENDO!  HIKEY!

Pendo and Hikey, Sam's two dim witted sidekicks, reported for duty.

Sam: Send your spider drones to watch over Kyle.  He is planning something.  He says it's a vacation, but we can use this as an opportunity to conquer and rule Dimension 3.

Hikey: FT Squad members don't take vacation.

Pendo: He's probably tricking us.  And even if he go on vacation, he might go undercover and spy on us.

Sam: You are always dramatic about what you say, aren't you?  Whether or not he's taking a vacation depends on what we'll learn if you send your drones to spy on him.  DO IT!

Pendo: As you command.

And so Pendo and Hikey sent several spider drones to find Kyle.

Meanwhile, back at the West Coast, Kyle and the rest of the titans are still battling the monster.  It wasn't what they were used to seeing.  This monster was yellow and had giant green eyes.  The titans thought that it was disgusting, but they were able to destroy the beast.

Cyborg: What do you think that abominable thing was?

Starfire: And why was it attacking the city anyway?

Robin: I don't know why it would attack this city, but at least it's over.

Kyle: Should we return to the tower, now that the monster is eliminated?

Raven: Might as well.  

Beast Boy: Yeah, I could use a slice of pizza.

Little did Beast Boy and the other titans know that there was already a pizza feast at the tower.  While the titans were sidetracked, four mysterious characters were in the tower's control center having lunch.  When Kyle and the other titans got inside, they saw the visitors.  Kyle was in shock, but he was also amazed.  

Kyle: Rudy?

Rudy: Kyle!

Kyle: Hopper?

Hopper: Kyle!

Kyle: Cassidy?

Cassidy: Kyle!

Kyle: Kimmy?

Kimmy: Kyle!

Beast Boy: BEAST BOY!

As the other titans stared at Beast Boy in frustration, Kyle recognized the visitors, it was the FT Squad.

Kyle: I knew you guys would make it.

Rudy: Different time, different city, and you still need Rudy's assistance.  It's good to see you buddy.

Hopper: So you said something about a vacation, right?

Kyle: Yes.  We haven't seen each other in a long time.  How have you guys been with your skills?

Cassidy: I mastered being a sheriff.

Kimmy: And I did a great job being a football coach.

Hopper: So where have you decided, that we should go on vacation?

Kyle: I thought about it, but I haven't decided a location yet.  I'll keep thinking about it, but until then, you can introduce yourself to my fellow titan comrades.

Robin: Nice to meet you all.  I'm Robin, the leader of the Teen Titans, and these are my friends, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy.

Kimmy: So nice to meet all of you.

Cyborg: Kyle's told us a lot about you.  He said you have different techniques and skills.

Rudy: It's true.  I became extremely talented in swimming.  I even saved the lives of submarine passengers, and I caught a few underwater criminals as well.  

Hopper: And I won first place at the Olympic Games with my agility and athletics.  It was the most exciting moment of my life.

Rudy: Well I think wherever we go for vacation will be even more exciting.

Robin: Well I just hope that wherever you go is a relaxation.

Later that day, the FT Squad has become great friends with the titans.  Rudy and Hopper are great opponents when it comes to video games with Cyborg and Beast Boy.  Cassidy has become incredibly great friends with Starfire and Kimmy has shown some interest in Raven's dark poetry.  Although they've created such a great friendship with the titans, the squad kept in mind, their upcoming vacation.  Soon after 3:00, Kyle came up with a great idea.

Kyle: Guys, I've got a great idea.

Rudy: What is it Kyle?

Kyle: I'll tell you, but we need that one invention, the FT formation machine.

Cassidy: Why is that?

Kyle: You'll see.

15 minutes later, in his room, Kyle brought out the FT formation machine, a device that was given to Kyle by Tails when they were in Dimension 2.

Kyle: The place where we're going to is Lake Hoohaw.

Kimmy: Lake Hoohaw?

Kyle: Yes.  I researched it on the internet and I learned that it's a very peaceful place to take a vacation and live in.

Starfire: You said this was going to be a temporary vacation, right?

Rudy: Relax Star.  Kyle knows what he's doing.  We mustn't underestimate this guy.

Kyle: You doubted me once when I chose to be a martial arts fighter, remember?

Rudy: That was a bluff.  I was joking with you.

Kyle: Hmph!  Just like old times.

Hopper: So why do we need the machine?

Kyle: Lake Hoohaw is a community that is home to anthropomorphic animals.  If we're going to go there for vacation, we must take the forms of animals.

Kimmy: Is it dangerous?

Kyle: Tails gave me a briefing on how this thing works.  If we transform into an animal using this, we'll change our appearance, we'll keep our personality, I'm sure we'll stay teenagers.

Cassidy: Has anyone ever tested this?

Kyle: Well, Tails tested it once, alone, I don't know what he turned into, but he was able to transform back into his fox self.

Hopper: What other things did he tell you?

Kyle: Nothing else.  It should be perfectly safe.  We're gonna be the very first FT Squad to test this out.  I'll go first.

And so Kyle went to the machine, chose the animal he wanted to turn into and went into the portal.  He also asked the rest of the squad what they wanted to turn into.  The door closed and everyone watched.  They were worried about what would possibly happen to their friend.  A flash of white came out of the machine, surprising everyone.

Robin: Kyle?  Are you ok buddy?

Starfire: Are you injured?

There was no answer.  Out of the bright light came a small figure.  It was blue, had a white chest and had black shoes.  It was Kyle, turned into an otter.

Beast Boy: Kyle?

Kyle checked himself out and realized that he shrunk.  

Kyle: Whoa!  I feel like I transformed into a giant ant.

Cassidy: Uh, you didn't partner.  You're an otter.

Kyle immediately checked the machine for his status, and he realized he transformed into an otter, as he expected, but it shrunk his age from 16 to 4.  Kyle was shocked and was worried that he lost his skills as a kung fu fighter.

Kyle: I shrunk, into the body of a 4 year old?  This is definitely not what I expected.

Raven: Do you think that the machine had a malfunction in it?

Kyle: That's impossible.  Tails told me that it was free of bugs, so there must
be an explanation for why this happened.

Rudy: First of all, you should see if you can do martial arts like you usually do.  

Kyle tried out all of the moves that he learned from Master Shifu and Robin.  He was nervous about doing it, but he didn't mess up one bit.  Everyone sighed in relief.  They were glad that nothing was wrong with their friend.

Kyle: So if that happened to me, it should happen to the rest of you guys.

The squad was in doubt at first, but they wanted to try it out.  The squad came out in different forms.  Rudy came out as a light green alligator with a purple vest and yellow snout.  Hopper came out as a green frog with dark green eyebrows and a necklace.  Both admired each other's appearances.

Rudy: Sweet!

Behind Rudy and Hopper came out a pelican with a brown cowgirl hat and brown boots.  It was Cassidy, who had transformed into a pelican with tan feathers and a light orange bill.

Cassidy: Now this is what I call something as fun as herding the cattle.  YEE HAW!

After Cassidy came out, a large gray elephant with a pink bow, walked behind her.  It was Kimmy.  

Kimmy: Thanks for letting me choose the form of an elephant Kyle.

Kyle: Well, they are my favorite animals too, but I chose this form so that there wouldn't be confusion between the two of us.  I also wanted to be a good friend.

The titans were surprised at what they were seeing.  They weren't expecting the FT Squad to be seen at young ages, but they were glad that their personalities and skills weren't altered.  The FT Squad is back, this time as animals.
