At Half Peak, the sabers waited for the moment to attack.  They looked out into the distance, hoping to see Diego and the others sooner of later.  But as they watched out for any activity, they heard a familiar voice behind them.  “Hello ladies.”

Everyone looked and saw Diego approaching them.  “Hey look who decided to show up,” said Oscar.

“Diego,” said Soto, “I was beginning to worry about you.”

“No need to worry,” said Diego, “in about two minutes you’ll be satisfying your taste…for revenge.”

“Very nice,” said Soto.

Zeke spotted someone in the distance.  “I see the sloth and two of those weirdoes,” he said upon seeing Sid, along with Wubbzy and Daizy, approach Half Peak with the baby in a bundle, “AND THEY’VE GOT THE BABY!”

“Don’t give away your positions until you see the mammoth,” said Soto, “he’s the one you have to surprise.”

Zeke watched the trio approach them with the baby.  Zeke was barely able to control his psychotic desire for killing.  “You wanna maul something, don’t you Zeke,” whispered Diego.

“I wanna maul,” said Zeke, wanting to attack so badly.

“Then what’re you waiting for,” asked Diego quietly.

Unable to wait any longer, the impatient Zeke started charging at Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy.  Oscar and Lenny followed after him, also ready to attack something.  “NO, I SAID WAIT FOR THE MAMMOTH,” shouted Soto.

Diego shrugged his shoulders, pretending to have had nothing to do with what they were doing.  Frustrated that they weren’t listening, Soto groaned before chasing after them himself.  Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy noticed the sabers charging at them.  They got nervous and they tried getting away, but the snow was making it hard for them to dash into a run.  They watched as the sabers got closer and closer, but just as it seemed they were about to reach the trio, Wubbzy shouted out, “NOW!”

The trio jumped into the air and revealed that they had long, thin pieces of wood on their feet.  They were like wooden skis.  Using them, Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy skied down the hill.  “WAHOO,” exclaimed Sid.

Zeke, Oscar and Lenny stopped for a brief moment, shocked that they were doing this, but quickly resumed the chase.  Sid, after struggling to keep his balance, started getting the hang of skiing.  With Wubbzy and Daizy by his side, he skied through the snow like a champion skier.  He did some midair tricks while continuing the chase.  “WEE,” he shouted as he, Wubbzy and Daizy skied down a rocky edge and onto the snow, “BACK-SCRATCHER!  HAHA!  EAT MY POWDER!”

The trio of sabers got down the rocky cliff and continued their pursuit.  “They’re still catching up,” said Daizy.

“Keep going Daizy,” said Wubbzy, “we can make it.”

But as they skied, they saw several tall, sharp rocks ahead, blocking their path.  They carefully skied their way around them, but Sid accidentally crashed into one, causing him to lose one of his pieces of wood.  After spinning around from the impact, Sid nearly lost his footing, but he quickly regained it upon putting his left foot on the remaining wood piece.  Now having his balance again, Sid smirked as he continued fleeing from the sabers, only this time, like a snow-boarder.  The tall rocks were no longer a problem and Sid used them to do some more midair tricks.  Using them like skiing ramps, Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy did some loop-de-loop maneuvers.  “WEE!  WHOA!  LOOP DE LOOP,” shouted Sid as he snowboarded his way down the hill, “SLALOM!  SLALOM BABY!”

Sid jumped into the air and dodged some small sharp rocks sticking out of the ground.  “WAHOO!”

“Wow, wow, wow,” shouted Wubbzy, “Kyle was right.  This is fun.”

“We should do this more often with Kyle and Kaytlin,” said Daizy who was also having a fun time.

Sid looked behind him and saw that he was getting further and further away from the sabers.  He smiled, thinking he was safe, but he failed to notice a drop that was right ahead of him.  He, Wubbzy and Daizy slid off the edge and slid across the ice.  Sid wasn’t able to hold onto the baby enough.  The bundle stopped in the center of the ice while Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy slid up an upward facing slope and landed on the ledge.  They weren’t hurt, but they saw that the baby was left behind and the sabers had surrounded it.  Zeke approached the baby, ready to attack, only to be backed off by Soto.  Soto glared at the baby bundle, wanting the baby to look into him before getting mauled to death.  He rolled over the bundle, but to his surprise, it wasn’t the baby at all.  Instead, it was a decoy with a snowman head.  “SORRY FELLAS,” said Sid, “HE GOT A LITTLE FROSTBITE!”

Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy turned around and fled the scene, leaving Soto to express his anger.  He swatted the fake baby away before giving another order.  “GET THEM!”

Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy ran through the rocky areas, trying to lose the sabers.  But they weren’t far away and they chased after the trio past the rocks.  They came across one, but instead of the trio, they saw Manfred with a giant log on his tusks, with the squad founders, Widget and Walden by his side.  “SURPRISE,” they all shouted.

Manfred tossed the log towards the trio, sending them all spiraling down a small cliff and onto the snow below.  With them taken care of, Diego appeared.  “That’s it for them,” said Kaytlin, “but now what?”

“Ok, follow me,” said Diego, “we’ll pick up Sid and the others and get out of here while we can.”

“Good enough,” said Rudy, “let’s go.”

But before they could go anywhere, Soto appeared.  “Not so fast gator,” he said, “you’re not going anywhere.”

The squad gasped upon seeing this saber.  “Come on Diego,” said Soto as he approached the group, ready to attack, “let’s bring this mammoth and his friends down.”

Meanwhile, back with Sid, he, Wubbzy and Daizy stopped running and waddled through the snow.  However, they were unaware that one of the sabers was now following them.  It was Zeke, having recovered from the log attack quicker than Oscar and Lenny.  He watched as Sid, Wubbzy and Daizy approached a rock wall with a hole in it.  The WaveRiders and Donkey were there.  When Sid approached Roshan revealed himself to him.  “There he is,” said Sid as he and the others looked at the baby.

Suddenly, the baby started making gestures like he were a saber.  “That’s right.  Where’s the baby.”

But Thomas looked behind him and saw what Roshan was trying to say.  “WHOA!  SID, GET HIM OUT, QUICK!”

Zeke jumped and prepared to pounce.  But as he did, Sid saw him and pulled Roshan out of the hole, just in time.  Zeke, unable to stop himself, landed in the rock wall.  Seeing their enemy vulnerable and pretty much defeated, Martinez towards the hole and smacked his skull into Zeke’s rear.  “SURVIVAL…OF THE…FITTEST,” he shouted as he shoved Zeke deeper into the hole.

Sid did one hop on Zeke, getting him too deep into the hole.  “I don’t think so,” he said as he high fived Roshan.

“Boya baby,” said Martinez, “we bad.”

“Now come on,” said Thomas, “we need to get back to the others and quickly.”

Back with the others, they were cornered by Diego and Soto towards a rock wall.  Manfred glared at Diego, furious that he got him and the squad in this situation.  But as the two sabers approached the group, ready to attack, Diego got in front of Soto and stood in his way.  “WHAT ARE YOU DOING,” asked a shocked Soto.

“Leave…the mammoth…alone,” said Diego, “and if you hurt Rudy or anyone else…you have to go through me first.”

Soto glared at Diego, realizing that his lieutenant betrayed his pack for the mammoth and squad.  With Oscar and Lenny behind him, ready to back him up, Soto said, “fine…don’t mind if I do.”

Soto approached his former lieutenant, growling viciously, ready to attack.  Diego stood his ground, ready to fight back to protect his friends.  Soto leaped and pounced on Diego.  The two sabers assaulted each other with their claws.  Diego swiped Soto in the face, but this did little but anger him.  As the two fought, Manfred and the squad rushed to Diego’s side, only to be stopped by Oscar and Lenny.  Lenny pounced on Manfred, but Manfred shook him off easily.  But Lenny quickly came back for more, and along with Oscar, started forcing Manfred into a corner.  Dennis charged at Lenny and lashed out his tongue.  This disoriented Lenny, but Oscar growled and charged at the frog.  Dennis quickly leaped out of the way, dodging the saber’s attack.  As he did, Kimmy charged at Oscar, but Oscar dodged her attack and swiped at her, giving her some scratches on side.  Lenny pounced on her, but got pulled back by Cassidy’s rope.  “LET HER GO,” she demanded as she held on.

But Oscar turned his attention to the pelican and pounced on her, causing her to lose her grip on the rope.  Manfred slammed Oscar off Cassidy while Kyle charged towards Lenny and kicked him off Kimmy before he could kill her.  While Oscar got up and started fighting Kaytlin, Dennis joined Kyle’s side and together, they collaborated against the saber.  But while this happened, Manfred saw Soto getting the upper hand in his fight against Diego.  He shoved Diego towards a rock, knocking him out.  Rudy, who was protecting Widget and Walden, along with Kaytlin, saw what Soto had done and charged at the evil saber.  “No you don’t, cold hearted saber,” he said before attacking Soto.

Rudy pounced on Soto and started battling him.  But Soto quickly got up and growled at the gator.  “You can’t beat me boy,” he said before pouncing on Rudy.

But Rudy grabbed Soto’s paws and tried pushing the saber back.  Soto lunged forward and tried chomping on the gator.  Rudy was barely able to dodge the attacks.  Manfred tried rushing to Rudy’s defense, but Oscar and Lenny noticed him and rushed in front of him, stopping him from helping Rudy.  The squad members saw this happening and tried to stop them.  However, before Kyle and Dennis could even attack, Lenny dodged them, allowing Oscar to swat them away with his paw.  Oscar turned back to Manfred while Lenny swiped Dennis with his paw and nearly chomped on Kaytlin with his jaws.  He swiped Kaytlin away before turning back to Manfred.  With them out of the way, he turned to Manfred, who was trying to hold his ground and protect Widget and Walden.  As for Rudy, he kept up the fight against Soto, until Soto leaped towards the wall and jumped off it, pouncing on Rudy and smacking him away towards the wall.  With him out of the way, he turned his attention to Manfred, who was forced further and further towards the corner.  He tried desperately to protect himself, and Widget and Walden, but he was forced all the way back to the wall.  He glimpsed over at Diego, who was trying to get up, before noticing Soto, waiting for Manfred to make a move.  Manfred, having had enough, maneuvered his head, about to smack the saber away, but missed.  With that, Soto leaped forward, about to attack Manfred’s neck.  But Diego, seeing what Soto was about to, quickly jumped up, getting in Soto’s way.  But in doing this, Diego took Soto’s attack and was badly wounded as a result.  Manfred and Rudy gasped upon seeing Diego hurt.  “DIEGO,” cried Rudy.

Oscar and Lenny prepared to attack Manfred once again, but before they could, the squad founders got up again and re-engaged in battle against them.  As this fighting continued, Sid appeared on the scene with Roshan, the WaveRiders, Wubbzy, Daizy and Donkey.  Upon seeing what Soto did to Diego, they all gasped.  Roshan cooed loudly, scared of what happened to Diego, but this caught Soto’s attention.  Soto glared at the baby, seeing that he was the one he was after all along.  But Manfred saw what he was about to do and prepared to strike, when suddenly, Rudy got up and grabbed the evil saber’s face.  “Not to him,” he growled as he started assaulting Soto angrily, “NOT TO MY FRIEND…”

Soto growled angrily at the gator, but Rudy was not going down easy this time.  He whacked Soto’s face with his tail, before Soto attempted to pounce on him.  But like before, Rudy grabbed Soto’s paws.  “NEVER AGAIN,” Rudy finished before chomping on Soto’s leg.

Soto roared in pain before getting out of Rudy’s grip.  But before he could do anything else, Manfred, also not wanting Soto to harm Roshan, smacked the saber towards a wall.  Soto hit the wall and collapsed onto the ground.  But above the wall were some sharp icicles, just like the ones at the ice cave.  These icicles shook as a result of the impact.  Soto looked up and saw them, but as he did, the icicles broke off the ceiling.  Seeing this, the squad members covered their eyes as Soto, unable to get away fast enough, watched in horror as the icicles came plummeting down until finally, they impaled the saber.  Oscar and Lenny squirmed upon seeing what had happened to their leader.  Manfred turned to them, ready for another bout.  The squad and WaveRiders stood by his side, glaring at the sabers.  Manfred growled at the two predators, intimidating them.  Now outnumbered, and seeing that they wouldn’t stand a chance against the whole group now, Oscar and Lenny fled the scene.  Sid approached the group, happy to see their enemies gone.  “We did it,” he said.

But Sid’s joy turned into worry when he saw Diego, wounded from the attack and not getting up.  Everyone rushed to Diego’s side, concerned if he was ok.  Rudy rushed to Diego and looked him in the eyes.  “Diego,” he said, worried.

“We were some team, huh,” asked Diego.

“‘Were,’” asked Manfred, “come on, we’re still a team.”

“I’m sorry I set you up,” said Diego.

“Ah, you know me.  I’m too lazy to hold a grudge,” said Sid as he placed Roshan onto the ground.

“Diego, don’t feel bad,” said Lilly, “you saved us from that saber.”

“You proved that you really were a good help for us,” said Thomas.

Roshan approached Diego, wanting him to get up.  “Hey knock it off squirt,” said Diego as he looked at the baby, “you gotta be strong.  You have to take care of Manfred…and Sid…especially Sid.”

This comment left Rudy worried.  “What?  No…no…no Diego, don’t,” he said, “don’t give up on us.  Not now.”

“Yeah, we need you,” said Wubbzy who started getting distressed.

“Come on, you can lick this,” said Sid, who also started feeling frantic, “you’re a tiger.  Look, I’ll carry you.  Come on, what do you say?  Come on Diego, come on.  Tell him he’s gonna be ok Manny.”

But Manfred had the feeling that the injury on Diego had been fatal.  “I can perform quick surgery on you if I move quickly enough,” said Karri.

But Diego, losing consciousness, and knowing what was really important, said otherwise.  “No…” he said, “Listen…you have to leave me here.  If those humans get through the pass, you’ll never catch them.”

Roshan looked at Manfred and Sid, worried about Diego.  “You didn’t have to do that,” said Manfred, recalling Diego’s action during the battle.

Very close to fainting, Diego looked at Manfred one last time and said, “that’s what you do in a herd,” before losing consciousness

Manfred looked upon the fallen saber, touched that his words made an impact on him before his ultimate action of saving his life.  But seeing Diego lose consciousness made him feel very sad, like how he lost his family long ago.  Roshan, seeing that Diego wasn’t waking up, tried crawling to his face, but was picked up by Manfred.  Roshan was on the verge of crying as he looked at the defeated Diego.  Everyone looked at Diego’s body, deeply saddened to see what had happened to him.  Rudy was the one most upset.  The saber who originally set him and the others up, but fought to the bitter end to protect them, was now gone.  Feeling terrible for how he acted towards him, and deeply saddened by Diego’s passing, Rudy tried holding back his sadness, but a tear ran down his face and landed on Diego’s face.  Thomas and the WaveRiders comforted him as he quietly sobbed over his friend.  Rudy looked at Diego’s body before turning to Manfred and Sid.  They were just as sad as he was.  Rudy then noticed Roshan in Manfred’s trunk and upon seeing his sad face, he knew straight away what they had to do, something that Kyle and the others agreed on.

Everyone, despite being heart-broken over losing their dear friend Diego, knew that there was one thing that had to get done, the very thing Diego would want them to do: bring the baby back to it’s family.  Together with the squad and WaveRiders, Manfred and Sid continued their journey to Glacier Pass, staying quiet all the way while remembering Diego and his act of sacrifice.  At Glacier Pass, the humans had finally reached the monument and were in between the two huge glaciers.  Runar walked behind his tribe, slowing down to take one last look at where they came.  He saw the huge distance south, but while looking, he recalled that he couldn’t find Roshan or Nadia anywhere.  It was here where he sadly came to the conclusion that his family was gone.  He took the necklace charm and gently placed it on the snow in remembrance of his family.  Runar turned around and started following his tribe again, ready to leave the land they travelled in behind.

But before Runar could get far, he heard something coming from behind him.  He looked and saw a mammoth appear before his eyes and approach him.  Runar glared at this mammoth, wary of him.  Manfred slowly approached Runar before stopping a few feet away.  Sid, the squad and the WaveRiders stood behind him.  Manfred looked at Runar, remembering his kind as the kind that killed his family.  Runar looked at Manfred, thinking he was here to cause trouble like the sabers.  After a brief stare down, Manfred slowly lifted his trunk high, as if he was about to strike.  Runar lifted his spear, ready to fight back, causing Sid to get worried.  Manfred, seeing what Runar planned on doing, stopped lifting his trunk and slowly moved it towards the sharp weapon.  He grabbed it and started tugging on it.  As he did, the human’s dogs sensed Manfred’s presence and barked.  They rushed back to Runar’s assistance as Manfred tossed the spear aside.  Now Runar was defenseless.  As the humans charged towards Manfred, Manfred lifted his trunk again.  The humans were getting closer, and one had his spear, ready to strike Manfred.  Sid hid his face in fear as Manfred lifted his trunk to the height of his back.  But instead of bringing it down and smacking Runar, he instead lifted something up.  Runar saw what Manfred was carrying and became shocked.  It was Roshan.  Seeing this, he rushed to his fellow humans and called them off.  They halted their attack while Sid, overcome with fear, fainted.  The humans saw that the mammoth had Roshan in his trunk.  Manfred gently put Roshan on the ground, and he slowly started walking towards his father.  Runar, amazed that Roshan had learned to walk while being separated, knelt down and gestured to him, wanting him to come to him.  Roshan slowly walked towards his happy father until he was close enough for Runar to pick him up.  With that, the two embraced with each other, finally reunited at long last.  Roshan looked at Runar in the eyes, happy to be back with him.  Sid regained his consciousness and saw Roshan happily reunited with his family.  He smiled while Manfred and the squad also watched happily.  Martinez started getting very emotional about seeing the baby with his father.  Lilly comforted him while Rudy watched with tremendous pride, proud to have successfully completed the mission with his friends.

With the baby back with his family at last, Manfred and Sid looked at each other with smiles before turning around and heading back south with the squad.  Rudy started feeling sadness, but started going with them after getting a gesture from Thomas.  But as they left, they heard Roshan cry out to them, as if he didn’t want them to go yet.  They turned and faced the baby.  Runar put Roshan down, allowing him to walk back to the group.  Roshan walked towards Rudy, who picked up the baby and gave him a big hug.  A tear ran down Rudy’s face, but Roshan wiped it away.  Rudy looked at the baby, very happy that he was getting a chance to say goodbye.  “Goodbye little guy,” he said quietly as the other squad members looked at the baby happily, “we’ll never forget you...ever.”

Rudy handed the baby to Sid, who gave him a big goodbye hug.  “Don’t forget about us,” he said, “ok?”

Sid handed Roshan over to Manfred.  “We won’t forget about you,” he said.

Roshan hugged Manfred’s trunk, happy to have been acquainted with him for so long.  Manfred was very happy to be embracing with him one last time before parting.  Runar approached the group, and Manfred gave the man Roshan back.  Runar, very grateful that Manfred and the others protected his son and safely gave him back to him, knelt down and put the charm necklace on the mammoth’s tusk.  Manfred looked at the charm necklace and saw that one of the parts was a small, human shaped rock.  He looked at it before smiling at Runar, now no longer having a disdain towards humans.  Runar smiled at Manfred, very grateful that he returned his baby.  Feeling very happy to have successfully accomplished the mission, Manfred looked at the squad and WaveRiders, happy to have met them.  Manfred then turned to Sid, very happy to have made friends with him, and happy knowing that he was around during his troubled time.  Sid smiled back at Manfred before watching Runar leave with Roshan in his arms.  The humans began walking through Glacier Pass once again.  Sid, getting overemotional about saying goodbye, started tearing up.  “Bye,” he said, “goodbye.  Goodbye.”

“Sid,” said Manfred thinking Sid should stop.

“Bye…bye,” said Sid.

Roshan, looking over Runar’s shoulders, did a gesture, playing ‘Where’s the Baby’ again.  “That’s right,” said Sid, who did the same gesture, right back at Roshan, “where’s the baby?”

“Come on Sid,” said Manfred, “let’s head south.”

The squad and WaveRiders agreed, having finished their mission and knowing they had to go.  But as they turned to leave, Kyle noticed Rudy, staring at the humans, as if he was getting sad.  Kyle comforted his friend and said, “it’s ok Rudy.  We did the right thing.  He’s back where he belongs.”

Rudy looked at Kyle and slightly smiled.  “Yeah, I know buddy,” he said before getting sad again, “I just…I just wish Diego were here.”

“I know,” said Kyle, “…but he’d be proud of what we’ve done.  I know he would.”

“You’re right Kyle,” said Manfred, “let’s go.”

But as Manfred prepared to head out, he saw someone coming up from over the hill.  To his amazement, it was Diego, alive and well.  He was limping, but he managed to get to the pass just in time to see the baby one last time.  Roshan did another ‘Where’s the Baby’ gesture.  Diego quietly did the same thing and waved goodbye to Roshan with a smile.  Roshan waved goodbye before falling asleep on Runar’s shoulder.  With that, the humans disappeared from view.  “Bye,” said Sid, still emotional.

“Save your breath Sid,” said Diego, “you know humans can’t talk.”

Upon recognizing the voice, Sid turned and to his joy, Diego was there, alive and ok.  “DIEGO,” he asked before rushing towards him, “YOU’RE OK!”

“Nine lives baby,” said Diego, happy to be back.

Upon seeing Diego, Rudy gasped before getting very excited.  “YOU’RE BACK,” he exclaimed with tremendous joy, “YIPEE!”

“You’re ok, you’re ok,” said Sid as he embraced with the embarrassed saber, rough-housing him playfully like Diego did before, “I could kiss ya.”

Sid kissed Diego’s head in his happiness, only to stop when he realized what he was doing.  As for Rudy, he couldn’t help himself and hugged the saber in his joy.  “DIEGO, YOU’RE OK!  THANK THE…”

Rudy swiftly stopped himself upon realizing that everyone was watching him.  “Eh…what’s up,” he asked, trying to act casual.

Everyone laughed as Diego smiled at Rudy.  “Great to see you too old friend,” he said.

“Well welcome back partner,” said Manfred, “want a lift?”

“No thanks,” said Diego, “I gotta save whatever dignity I’ve got left.”

“You’re hangin’ out with us now buddy.  Dignity’s got nothing to do with it,” said Sid, “but I’ll take a lift.”

“Yeah, climb aboard,” said Manfred as he let Sid get on his back.

“Pick me up buddy,” said Sid as he got on Manfred’s back and gestured like a horseback rider.  “HIYA!  MUSH…or not mush.  Either way.”

The squad and WaveRiders laughed at Sid’s comment while Manfred and Diego waved their heads in disbelief.  “Well guys, we did it,” said Kyle, “our mission’s now officially complete.”

“Job well done fellas,” said Thomas, “we’ve really prevailed this time.”

“Hey guys, wanna do one more walk with us while we head south,” asked Manfred, “it’s been great travelling with you guys.”

“Well, we’ll keep in touch you with you guys, but you know…that’s a great idea,” said Kyle, “what do you guys think?”

“I’m in for more travelling,” said Cassidy ready for another journey.

“Sign me up,” said Kimmy.

“I’m ready for more,” added Kaytlin.

“Don’t forget me,” said Dennis.

“Us too,” said Wubbzy as Daizy, Widget and Walden nodded in agreement.

“I love it baby,” said Donkey.

“We could use another travel,” said Thomas, “right WaveRiders?”

“Right,” Karri, Lilly and Martinez replied together.

“I’m in too,” said Rudy who then turned to Diego, “especially if it’s with my friends.”

“Alright!  YEE-HAW!  TALEEHO!  AWAY,” cheered Sid, to Manfred’s confusion, “…eh, you know.  Let’s head out.”

With that, everyone started heading out.  Rudy and Diego looked at each other and winked.  They were together again and now good friends.  They joined the others as they began their migration south.

“This is gonna be the best migration ever,” said Sid, “I’m telling ya, I’ll show you all my favorite watering holes.  I turn brown when the fungus in my fur dries.”

“Sounds very attractive,” commented Manfred sarcastically.

“You know, this whole Ice Age thing’s getting old,” said Sid, “you know what I could go for?  Global warming.”

“Oy,” said Manfred.

“Keep dreaming,” said Diego.

“No really…”

20,000 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE

Frozen solid in a cube of ice, unable to move a muscle, and inches away from his beloved acorn, Scrat floated in his ice cube as it approached an unknown world.  The calm waters washed the cube onto the shore of a strange, tropical world, one that Scrat had never been to before.  The cube was washed ashore, where for several days, started to melt away under the heat of the sun.  Eventually, the ice around the acorn melted away and it rolled onto the ground.  It was now right next to the cube.  The tip of Scrat’s nose was defrosted, and so were the fingers on his hands.  But Scrat couldn’t reach the acorn.  After some time, Scrat’s upper body defrosted and he tried reaching out to his acorn, only to stop upon realizing that he was too far.  Some time later, more of Scrat’s body became defrosted.  Scrat sighed as he waited for more of his body to get defrosted.  Upon seeing that he could move his tail at least, and thinking he could make it this time, Scrat reached out for the acorn once again, pushing himself as hard as he could to get to it.  He was able to at least touch the acorn, but before he could try and grab onto it, a wave washed onto shore and took the acorn out to sea.  Seeing his acorn disappear, Scrat pushed on his cube.  Finally, the cube broke apart as Scrat screamed in fury.  “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Scrat, in his blind frustration, ran to a nearby tree and started beating his head on it.  But as he did, a coconut fell right behind him, startling him for a second, before he realized that this would be a perfect thing to store.  He squirmed in delight upon seeing this.  He took the coconut and carried it into the forest.  It was heavy, but Scrat kept going.  Eventually, he stopped and, thinking he found the perfect spot to store it, lifted it high into the air and brought it down hard.  The coconut dug into the ground, and Scrat tried pushing it down by stomping on it.  However, as this happened, it went a little bit deeper and it created a crack that travelled through the sand.  Scrat, seeing what was happening like before, followed the crack, trying to stop it from getting any bigger.  He tried digging it up with sand, but it was too fast.  Scrat even tried in vain to push the two pieces of land together with his bare hands.  He became very worried as he watched the crack travel across the ground.  The crack travelled through the jungle before climbing up a rocky volcano.  The crack reached the top of the volcano, causing it to erupt in a massive and loud eruption.  Scrat heard the eruption and became nervous.  Knowing what was about to happen next, he shrugged his shoulders.  Here he goes again.
This is part 9, the final part, of "The FT Squad's Adventures in the Ice Age."

This is it.  Fate is decided here as the group battles Soto's pack to protect Roshan, but can they do it before the humans make it past Glacier Pass?

I actually stayed up late last night, past midnight, working on this part since I was so close to being done.  I actually felt a lot of emotion when writing this part.  The ending of "Ice Age" (the part before the scene with Scrat) is another emotional and tear-jerking scene.  It also shows how far the characters have come in their epic journey.  I was very proud when I completed that part before moving on to Scrat.

But alas, "The FT Squad's Adventures in the Ice Age" concludes with this part complete.  "Ice Age" is one of my childhood favorites.  It's a movie that I grew up watching and will always consider the best in the entire IA franchise.  With great character development, beautiful and emotional scenes, and some strong humor, "Ice Age" is a classic that I recommend everyone see.  The sequels are also fun to watch, but they're mostly bent on humor and comedy moments, that is except for "Ice Age: The Meltdown."  That sequel has funny moments and good emotion, but the first still dominates over it and the others.

I hope you enjoyed this story.  Coming up next is some Halloween fanart.  So far I've made at least one drawing for the Halloween season, and that'll be up soon.  But until then, I hope you enjoyed this crossover, and I'll see you next time, where we tackle a two more crossovers before moving on to a crossover in a TV Series.
