Looking At The Stars (dedicated to Judith Barsi)

I came up with this drawing idea two days ago while watching parts of "The Land Before Time."  Here we see Ducky looking at the stars in the night sky.  Done with Photoshop and Paint, this was one was surprisingly easier than I thought.

But while this may seem like me showing off my skills of drawing LBT characters, there is actually a much more important reason for uploading this today.  This was uploaded in dedication to Ducky's original voice actress: Judith Barsi.  She was so cute as Ducky and she would later go on to voice Anne Marie in "All Dogs Go to Heaven," another Don Bluth classic.  But sadly, she didn't live to see either movies in theaters because of...well...I'm not gonna say it because it's too tragic and heartbreaking.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, do some research on Judith and learn about what happened to her and you might understand, but I will say it's a sad tale and it may leave you crying.

In addition to those two animated roles, she also did a lot of live action stuff, like commercials.  I also saw this video of footage from a show called "Cagney & Lacey" with Judith portrayed as this abused child, being protected by her also abused big sister (I don't know who that actress was but she reminded me a lot of Ariana Richards.)  Watching that footage made me feel even more bad for Judith because she was so cute and innocent.  What she needed was protection and comfort, then maybe she'd be around today.

God bless Judith Barsi for bringing us such a cute character that has left an impact on us LBT fans.  Yep, yep, yep!
